Yesterday's movie:

Jurassic Park

Nicole, you amaze me with your movie knowledge. Here's a blooper from JP that stayed in the movie: After a walk in the mud, the soles of Dr. Grant's shoes are squeaky clean as he climbs the electric fence. Go figure.

Today's quote:
"We've got a blind date with destiny, and it looks like she's ordered the lobster."

Yesterday's movie:

Simon Birch

This movie was never really well known and I'm not surprised that no one could name it. A roommate in college introduced me to this movie and I love it. It's about the friendship of two young boys, one of whom, Simon, has physical difficulties. Such a cute movie and will certainly make you laugh and cry. Please watch it.

Today's quote:
"I am not a computer nerd. I prefer to be called a hacker."

Yesterday's movie:

Steel Magnolias

This movie always makes me want to live in the South. I believe that this movie was also one of Julia Roberts' first movies. What a group of ladies to start out with: Olympia Dukakis, Sally Field, Shirley McClaine. Wow. And this was a stage show before it was a movie. One of my other favorite lines from this movie is "He's so confused, he don't know whether to wind his butt or scratch his watch."

Today's quote:
A: "Last year we were in the squirt league, and this year we're in the peewee"
B: "So?"
A: "So what do they want us to do? Play baseball or urinate?"

Friday's movie:

Hook

This movie reminds me of baby-sitting. I watched it sooooo many times while baby-sitting a little girl named Rachel. I guess that was some way of preparing me for my own kids. Is there any way I can train my kids to fall in love with my favorite movies so that they'll want to watch them over and over again? Or will they become my least favorite movies because they'll be watched over and over again?

Today's quote:
"All gay may have track lightin'. And all gay men are named Mark, Rick or Steve."

Yesterday's movie:

Beetlejuice

Weird? Yes. Gross? Yes. Scary? Could be. But what a keeper. Not to mention that you're talking to a dead guy here!

Today's quote:
"You lewd, crude, rude bag of pre-chewed food dude."

Yesterday's movie:

Wayne's World

Excellent. This was the first movie I ever bought. I was in middle school, living in Germany and bought it at the PX. I still own it.... on VHS. Really at a loss as to what to say about this movie. Any other favorite quotes?

Today's quote:
"I'm not scared of sheets. Are you gross under there? Are you Night of the Living Dead under there? Like all bloody veins and pus? "

Yesterday's movie:

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

This is by far my favorite of the Indiana Jones movies. I think it's all the disgusting bug scenes and hearts being pulled out of chests that draws me in time after time. Or maybe it's the "snake surprise" that I just can't get enough of. Does anyone remember the Indiana Jones Atari game? I wonder if anyone still owns an Atari.

Today's quote:
"Am I supposed to be a man, am I supposed to say, 'It's OK, I don't mind'? Well, I mind! I mind big time! And you know what the worst part is? I NEVER LEARNED TO READ!!!"
